About OIATI

Nearly Three Decades of Building Cancer Care Capability in India

Who We Are

Onco Imaging and Therapeutics India (OIATI)

We are a not-for-profit organisation incorporated on 8 October 1996 under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, with our Registered Office in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Our first Directors were Dr. H.S. Mac (Dr. Harjinder Singh Mac) and Dr. P.S. Bhandari (Dr. Prithipal Singh Bhandari).

For nearly three decades, we have worked to fulfil our founding mandate: to establish and maintain cancer diagnostic and cure centres, hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and operation theatres; and to develop and provide the latest technical and medical facilities for comprehensive management of cancer patients, at par with the best available internationally.

We provide leadership and coordination between oncology organisations within India and abroad, conduct research in the epidemiological, etiological, and therapeutic aspects of cancer, and educate medical and para-medical professionals, particularly family physicians, on the features of cancer in India, the need for early detection, and timely referral of patients to cancer centres.

Our Vision

A future where no cancer diagnosis in India is delayed due to lack of access to advanced imaging, therapeutic knowledge, or specialist expertise, regardless of geography or institution.

Our Mission

To establish and sustain world-class cancer diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities across India through clinical partnerships, advanced training, research, coordination, and public education.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Scientific Rigour

Evidence-Based Practice

Every recommendation we make is grounded in evidence and best clinical practice. We bring international oncology standards into the Indian clinical context.

Equity in Access

Charitable Foundation

Our founding mandate commits us to making cancer care accessible on a charitable basis. We work to close the gap between global best practices and their availability across India.

Collaboration

Building Together

We provide leadership and coordination between oncology organisations within India and abroad, growing the ecosystem together rather than in competition with it.

Public Education

Educating Clinicians

We educate medical and para-medical professionals, particularly family physicians, on cancer features in India, the need for early detection, and timely referral of patients.

Accountability

Not-for-Profit Mandate

As a not-for-profit under Section 25, our income and property are devoted solely to our mission. We operate transparently in the public interest.
